History has many differences when it comes to the dates of birth etc, number of children and wives, of many important personalities. None is as controversial as that of Ayesha, her birth date and her age at the time of her marriage.
It is well known that she was 9 years old when she married 55 year old Prophet Muhammad (SAW). In educated Muslim homes, a marriage of a 55 year old with a 9 year old is considered a Taboo. Was Ayesha really 9 years old?
We present a research paper, some information gathered from different sources (SDOL has not written this paper but only compiled it). Ayesha's 9 year age is known through a single hadith only. Ponder over the facts presented in this research paper.

This is a response to an irrational book authored by Shabbir Ahmed, who claims that the practice of Namaz/Salat is not what Islam teaches. His blasphemy continues to claim that HZ Mariyam (AS) was not a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus Christ. He further denies the facts that the battles of Jamal, Siffin or Kerbala never took place. Though there should not even be a need to reply to such a trash book, what is unfortunate is that some people tend to believe whatever he writes. 10th Muharram 2009 saw a suicide attack on the Ashura procession in Karachi, Pakistan. The attack was followed by a setting fire to karachi's financial hub along with arrest of young men from shia localities. Things did not stop there. Talks of banning future processions were spoken of by the government.
The PDF file is a letter written to the media of pakistan, government of Pakistan and people of Pakistan. SDOL is a non political website and the letter is aimed to present the true picture of the events. We have a right to present our part of the story. Let us all stand for Unity.

10th Muharram 2013 saw another event in Rawalpindi which resulted in the burning of a mosque and many Imam Bargas. The social media has been misleading the people to cause haterd, and elements are involved to ensure that the fire spreads to the Other parts of the Country.
