Islam, today, is divided into many sects, all claiming to follow the Prophet and
his Sunnah. Yet dispute arises. The two main groups, Ahl e Sunnah Wal Jamat and
Ithna Ashari have been debating over certain issues for centuries. I belong to a
Shia family. But almost all of my friends belong to the other sect, better known
as Sunnis. We often indulged ourselves over friendly arguments. It were these
discussions, which enlightened me about the lies which were spread against the
Shia beliefs, which included the cannibalism of Shias etc. Not only alien
beliefs but also certain religious false beliefs that Shias had a different
Quran. I thought over it and tried to search the source of such lies. And guess
what, I ended up finding the corrupted source. The Mullahs/Salafies, whose
mission is simple, destroy the followers of Ahlul Bayt. That is why, Allah
orders us to verify any news we hear, and the best source is, Quran itself.
This is the reason I came up with this website. I have tried to discuss various issues amongst the Shias and Sunnis. I have tried to represent the true image of Shiaism and the accurate teachings of the AhlulBayt. I have given references from the Quran, Shia traditions and Sunni Hadith themselves. Yet, those whose hearts and ears are locked by Allah will deny them, but the Truth will not change.
Remember, SDOL is not an attempt to cause sectarian
division as it is disliked by Allah and his Prophet. This is an attempt to bring
all sects to a common ground of Logic, Quran and History by showing them the
true picture of Islam. Every one has their own views and everyone has a right to
believe what they feel is best. Live and Let live.... But make sure that before
you judge for yourself, you have sufficient knowledge about the issue.
