We believe that a true and comprehensive
understanding of Islam would not be possible without careful recognition of the
Prophetic Tradition and the Prophet's Household. And Allah is the Source of Strength.
The Love Of 70 Mothers
" Many people I have conversed with, preach that Allah loves us more than 70 mothers and just as a mother cannot see us in Pain, neither can Allah.
Not divulging in philosophy and traditions, the fact remains that Allah is the creator and he can create universes and beings like you and me, easier and faster than we can blink our eyes. The fact also remains that Allah has not only promised fire to the arrogant and the innovators and the mushriks in thehereafter, he has also destroyed towns and cities in this world.
It is also clear that in the Quran, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has been called as some one who gives glad tidings, and to the contrary, also as a warner. What did He (SAW) warn from?
No one can doubt or comprehend the mercy of Allah and his forgiveness. As Imam Sajjad (AS) said that even if we worshipped and asked for repentance throughout our lives and drank dirty water and ate dust even then if Allah forgave us would be because of his mercy and not because of our repentance for when we first exceeded his limits, punishment was due on us, but that he may forgive us and accept our repentance.
We have diluted the Adl and warnings of Allah and have made him such that it is incumbent on him to forgive us irrespective of what we do. We have made ahadith (unfortuantely) which tell us how some companions have been promised paradise, how a Hafiz e Quran will not only be forgiven but also take 7 generations of him to paradise along with him. We have made it easier for us to sin because we have made Allah forgive us in our minds only because we believe he loves us more than 70 mothers.
I would like to quote some Ayahs from the Quran [69:44-48] which strictly warns the Inheritor and Ruler of Paradise, Prophet (SAW); And if he (Muhammad) had fabricated against Us some of the sayings, We would certainly have seized him by the right hand, Then We would certainly have cut off his aorta. And not one of you could have withheld Us from him. And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil).
Such is the strictness of Adl of Allah, that the choice of words of the Quran for the Habib (SAW) he took to Miraj, a nearness never achieved earlier before and never shall be achieved afterwards by anyone else, make it very clear that the laws of Allah are above everything.
It is not astonishing the life of Prophet (SAW) is full of prayers for repentance. And Fear of Allah has been a trait of the Prophets.
If Allah loves us more than 70 mothers, then we must not be anything less than a well-behaved adorable and obedient child who loves and follows his mother more than 70 children would. "
