About

We believe that a true and comprehensive understanding of Islam would not be possible without careful recognition of the Prophetic Tradition and the Prophet's Household. And Allah is the Source of Strength.

That Link

" Alot of catastrophes occur throughout the world, throughout the day. When a poor fisherman is brutally and unjustly killed on the outskirts of the city, we hardly feel the pain and the need to do something. But when the son of the socially elite is killed in a posh area, we come out to the streets with candle light vigils and propagate our anger via the social media. Similarly, if a typhoon wipes away a village killing thousands, we do not feel the pain, but when an airplane crashes killing a 100, we share the grieve.

I do not think this is wrong, this is infact psychologically perfectly fine. Because when the fisherman was killed in the outskirts of the city, we did not feel linked, because neither are we a fisherman, nor do we live or even visit the city outskirts. But when the elite is killed in a posh area, we feel threatened, because he was one of us and was killed in an area where we lived in or used to visit frequently. Similarly, our climate does not support typhoons and therefore we do not feel threatened, but the plane crash is tragic because it could have been us as we are also frequent flyers.

You might have a soft spot for the militants because you do not feel you are their target therefore your thinking hat is different. On the other hand, minorities who have lost their loved ones to the terrorists will feel enraged when they see your soft spot for such factions.

If you do not link yourself to a certain event or entity, you will never be involved in any activity pertaining to it.

The mourners who take to the streets at Ashura, show their unity with Imam Hussain (AS). If you do not have "that link" with the Imam (AS), you will never understand this."
