About

We believe that a true and comprehensive understanding of Islam would not be possible without careful recognition of the Prophetic Tradition and the Prophet's Household. And Allah is the Source of Strength.

Time Is Of Essence

"We may argue that someone had more money to spend in the way of Allah while someone else did not have similar opportunity. Is this the justice of Allah?

However, it is worthwhile to think that Allah has given all of us something, an equal opportunity, which is the only resource which in turn generates other sources; time.

Man is born weak, ignorant, poor, but it is only with time, and how well he spends it, that man can gather knowledge, strength, power and money.

Will not then Allah ask where a man spent his time, specially in his youth when he had the desire and the authority and opportunity to exceed the limits?

A person who works 8 hours a day (halal), earns twenty thousand rupees a month. Another person who also works 8 hours a day (halal), earns forty thousand rupees a month. If the first person with his sincerest intention spends the twenty thousand rupees he earned in the way of Allah, and the second person also with his sincerest intention spends the forty thousand rupees he has earned in the way of Allah, then both are equal because both have spent their monthly salary in Allah's way, both had invested 8 hours a day for 30 days and have spent this much time in Allah's way by the means of their spending in the way of Allah.

When Imam Hussain (AS) sacrificed Ali Akbar (AS) in the way of Allah at Kerbala, he did not only sacrifice his son, but he spent in the way of Allah, all the related time of his (AS) life he (AS) spent in grooming Ali Akbar (AS), all the time he (AS) spent in earning bread and clothing for Ali Akbar (AS).

Allah has sent each and everyone of us on his earth till an appointed time. Allah has provided sustenance for each and every one of us till an appointed time. And Allah has given respite to everyone of us till an appointed time.

How much time of our lives do we then consume in the way of Allah? How much time of our lives do we then consume in giving to others and the society? And how much time of our lives do we then spend in things which are neither constructive to our individual health, well being and spiritual growth, or our family's or the society's?

Maybe now we understand when Imam Ali (AS) said that the sleep of he who has firm faith in Allah is better than the night prayers of someone who has his doubts in the true essence of Tauheed. "
