We believe that a true and comprehensive
understanding of Islam would not be possible without careful recognition of the
Prophetic Tradition and the Prophet's Household. And Allah is the Source of Strength.
Read And Write; The Way Of The Prophet (SAW)
" Educating ourselves and seeking knowledge are such fundamental building blocks of being a Muslim that Quran and the Prophet (SAW have emphasized it on numerous occasions.
Seeking knowledge is such an important part of being the creation of Allah, that even a Prophet of Allah, Musa (AS), went into the service of one of the servants of Allah, Khizr (AS), to learn knowledge of what Musa (AS) did not know.
Allah does not grant treasures and kingdoms to his chosen ones (even the pharoahs were billionaires) but gifts them with knowledge and wisdom. It is this knowledge about which the Prophet (SAW) has said he (SAW) is the city and Ali (AS) is its gate.
Where have we gone wrong that our schooling systems are poor, investments in our education system is low, we consider analytical thinking as blasphemy, and we do not believe in R&D. Israel invests 6% of its GDP in research and development which is USD 30Bn, Pakistan invests less than 0.16%.
And while the muslims continue to argue if the Prophet (SAW) could read and write, His (SAW) prophetic journey is documented between reading and writing.
The first revelation to the Prophet (SAW) was;
[96:1] Read in the name of your Lord Who created.
And the last will of the Prophet (SAW) was;
"Let me write for you a writing after which you will never go astray...."
