About

We believe that a true and comprehensive understanding of Islam would not be possible without careful recognition of the Prophetic Tradition and the Prophet's Household. And Allah is the Source of Strength.

The Moment of Sleep

" Sleeping is such an attribute of a creation that Allah has highlighted it in Ayat Ul Kursi as well. No matter who you are, a human or an animal, a man or a woman, a king or a pauper, a prophet or a sinner, a young or an old, strong or weak, you cannot avoid sleeping.

And when sleep overtakes us, it does not matter which state we were in. Infact, a person who has lost his loved one and is in a state of shock/grief, will also sleep after some time and at that moment of his sleep, he does not care about anything but his sleep as his sleep overpowers him eventually. Neither his lust, nor his power, nor his grief, can keep him awake at the moment of his sleep.

It is this moment of heedlessness at the moment of sleep which Mawla Ali (AS) refers to when he said to be heedless (or ignorant) of the sins of other people as we become heedless from everything in this world at the time of our sleep. "
